BORGER

The Borgerhout area of Antwerp hosts a fast-growing, avant-gardistic and dynamic art scene. The tri-annual Friday-night openings dubbed Borger offer an alternative yet complementary program to the Nocturne, further cementing Antwerps reputation as epicentre of contemporary art. Borger takes place three times a year in galleries and art spaces in the Borgerhout, Zurenborg and Berchem areas.

 

Nocturne

The renowned Nocturnes are a series of recurring, simultaneous Thursday-night openings hosted by a collective of established Antwerp Art galleries. Nocturne takes place every six weeks in galleries, museums and art spaces in the Zuid area of Antwerp.

For the inaugural Roundabout commission at the Aubette pavilion at the Middelheim Museum, artist Paul Hendrikse revisits his project 'The Ideal Form' (2007–2013). Due to the welding together of several straight sections create three-dimensional compounds which in addition to their tight character also possess a special musicality.
